Located on the south side of Glenwood, this flat top concrete arch bridge crosses Ives Avenue.
Built in 1902, the bridge consists of a flat top concrete arch design, which also can be characterized as a concrete box culvert. The bridge has little modifications since it was first built.
The flat top arch was commonly used where a slab or true box culvert is not feasible. At this location, it is due to the heavy skew of the railroad above. When this bridge was constructed, the main arch and abutments were formed with one pour.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition, with no significant deterioration.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally signification, due to the common design.
